Unexpected Blessings
God has blessed me as well as my family in so many ways this year, despite all the mental and emotional difficulties I went through. Our thesis group won an award, I was able to graduate on time, and I haven't failed a single MS subject (and I'm hoping this will never happen). My brother still has his job since the company he's working for was not severely affected by the financial crisis. My sister's doing pretty okay in school and will hopefully graduate by June next year. My parents, though aging and are feeling all sorts of body pains and experiencing memory loss in varying degrees, are still living and serving God with all their heart through their ministry in Couples for Christ and in our parish.
Moving Forward to Graduate Studies and Datacraft
I decided to continue pursuing Graduate Studies, and at the same time work for Datacraft. Although right now I have mixed feelings about it, there is no doubt that there are a lot things to be gained from this experience. I've somehow learned how to deal with so many consecutive failures brought about by schoolwork and MCSE exams, and I'm really trying my best to manage my time well.
Forming New Bonds and Strengthening Old Ones
Due to my work in Datacraft, I was introduced to a slightly new environment (hello AdRIC!) as well as a new set of people, collectively known as Datacraft CRC Batch 2. I have known some of them from SPRINT but I wasn't really close to any of them. After 4 months, though, I'm glad that I have formed good relationships with some of them. :) I've also bonded with my fellow CRC batchmates (Batch 3), and I'm glad I've gotten to know them better.
Of course, I will never forget my college barkada as well as my high school friends. We've had our own get-togethers, especially now that we don't get to see each other as often as we used to.
I wish 2009 would bring me more challenges to overcome. Advanced Happy New Year everyone! :D
