Mama, Papa, Judith and I then went to Powerbooks Greenbelt so that I can show Mama the laptop bag that I wanted. Unfortunately, she didn't like it and thinks that the bag isn't durable. >.< And I got frustrated because of that. I rarely ask them to buy something extra for me, and I really wanted that bag. So I was really bummed when my mom said no.
Since my sister had to buy some business attire for herself, and Papa already went some place else, I decided to go to Timezone by myself to release whatever frustration I had. Judith gave me some money to spend, which was a good thing for me. But then I soon found out I left my Powercard at home, and although Judith offered to lend hers, I still had to meet them at SM to get it from her. I declined, since I realized I was too sad and frustrated to play anyway.
I proceeded to Powerbooks in Glorietta, and browsed through some books. And, out of all the people I could have met, it had to be Sir Ryan, one of my professors from last term. We talked for quite a while, and only ended when Judith and Mama came to get me. :P After that conversation, I was in a considerably lighter mood, although it made me ponder about other things. Those thoughts, though, deserve a blog post of their own.
I had my 2nd and final surgical tooth extraction yesterday, and it took longer and was more torturous than the first. This particular tooth was really buried and was at a more precarious position as compared to the previous one extracted, since the bottom part was touching the lower part of the tooth perpendicular to it. Thus, the surgeon had to find a way to get the tooth without affecting other teeth. Thankfully, though, the entire tooth was taken out, and the difficult tooth extractions are finally over. Yay!
The harder part, though, is having to stick to a soft diet for one whole week, since the gums from the first tooth extraction have not fully closed yet (though they're healed, so there isn't too much to worry about). It makes chewing food much of a hassle, so I have to stick to eating food which I can easily swallow without chewing. And just so you guys have an idea of what I looked like yesterday and early this morning...

This is definitely something I'll remember and laugh about for the rest of my life.

Hi Adette. Thanks for dropping by! I'm really glad I found a fellow pinay blogger like me around here. Hehe. Actually after reading your tooth extraction posts, I have been dreading my still-dormant wisdom teeth. I fear the surgery. Hehe. I really hope my coming teeth will not cause so much of a problem, because my teeth are sort of not-in-place also.
Hope you get along fine with your braces later on. And may your gums get well soon so you can eat eat eat. Heheee:)
Ack! Now I remember! Joan a.k.a the book-a-holic, if that is even a word.
I actually clicked on your link as I was making that comment on Raine's blog, and thought I've seen it before. It's just that I had to do something so I couldn't follow up. I decided to "investigate" when I came back online, but you already beat me to it. :P
Hahaha, funny; I'm scheduled to have one of my wisdom teeth extracted next week and we... well... "got to know" each other too. Ah, coincidences.
Heheh, the advice is well-taken. Thanks so much, Adette! :D
By the way, do you mind if I link to your blog? Hehehe. :)
Sure! I don't mind. :D
My dentist says I need braces; I think otherwise.
Anyhow, Adette... can I link? I think it's four months overdue. :D
